The first fashion course I ever took was a pattern making course. We met twice a week and we made a new pattern every class. It was rigorous but exciting to see the pattern come together and watch all points match up perfectly. 
 
Since then the most nerve wracking but exciting part of fashion for me, has been the pattern making. While I love sewing with fashion fabrics it can’t compete with sewing the muslin draft for the first time and watching it all come together.
